OUR HUNTING AREAS

FREE STATE PROVINCE

Our Free State Province concession is 13 000 hectares (32 000 Acres) in size and is one of the largest privately owned game reserves in the province.

The area is made up of multiple field types namely savannah, rivers, valleys, mountains and open plains.

The reserve is situated on the banks of the Van Der Kloof dam which is the second largest dam in South Africa. This area is diverse and carries multiple species of game.

The area makes for challenging hunting with stunning views and scenery. Signature species in this area are Buffalo, Black Wildebeest, Springbok and Hartman’s Zebra, however, most plains game species can be found here.

Our hunting camp on the reserve is very special as it was built in the late 1800s and was used as a hunting camp by the locals during the winter months. The camp has all the necessities and is luxurious enough for the discerning hunter. The area is Malaria free.

This area is a three hour drive from the closest commercial airport, that is Bloemfontein (Bram Fischer), and we suggest that hunters visiting this area fly from Johannesburg (or Tambo) to Bloemfontein and depart from Bloemfontein back to Johannesburg, and from there onward home.
